Xi calls on Austria to further promote China-Europe relations

China welcomes Austria to actively participate in jointly building the Belt and Road and China-Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) cooperation.
Chinese President Xi Jinping made the remarks when meeting with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in Beijing on Monday.
Xi expressed the hope that Austria can continue to play a constructive role in promoting China-Europe relations.
There is no essential conflict of interest between China and Europe, the president said, adding that strengthened cooperation benefits the two sides.
Xi also called on Austrian enterprises to seize opportunities in China's further opening-up.
Kurz responded that Austria is willing to expand cooperation with China in bilateral trade, cultural exchanges, and third-party markets.
