Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with envoys from 29 countries and regions in Beijing on Sunday who assumed office over the past year, stressing that China is willing to deepen mutual trust with those countries and cooperate to iron out regional issues.
China endeavors to create a good working environment for those new envoys, Li said, hoping bilateral ties can be further improved through their efforts and cooperation can get strengthened in the process of globalization.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, Li said, adding that China is willing to work with all parties to continuously strengthen partnerships, jointly promote development strategies as well as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) against protectionism and unilateralism.
Li reiterated China's firm stance on multilateralism and free trade, calling to build an open economy.
The envoys congratulated the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and people, hailing China's outstanding development achievements.
With further reforms and opening-up, China will bring more development opportunities to the world, said the envoys.
