Myanmar's waters boast five of the world's seven sea turtle species, namely, the critically endangered hawksbill, the endangered green turtle and the olive ridley, leatherback and loggerhead turtles, all listed as vulnerable. But the animals are facing their gravest threat ever as trawling, pollution, habitat destruction and poaching directly impact the number coming to nest on the country's beaches.
