Dusit Zoo is a tranquil oasis in the noise and bustle of Bangkok, Thailand. Opened to visitors in 1938, the zoo will close for good at the end of September. Daily visitor numbers have doubled since the announcement of its closure. A new zoo will be built 50 kilometers away at Pathum Thani, well outside the city.
