Vietnam will host the 27th World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN on Sept. 11-13 with the participation of over 800 leaders of businesses, governments, international organizations and media agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Wednesday.
Under the theme "ASEAN 4.0: Entrepreneurship and the Fourth Industrial Revolution," the meeting will discuss new approaches to regional governance, defining new development models, and shaping policies to develop smart infrastructure systems in the region.
Established in 1971 as a non-profit foundation, the Geneva-based WEF is committed to improving the world economy by engaging business, political, academic and other society leaders to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
