The 7th Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was held in Beijing on Sept. 2, 2018. Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in the day that the Belt and Road Initiative can help Africa achieve the goals of the African Union's Agenda 2063 and the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Wang Yiwei, the member of the advisory body of the China Council for the promotion of international trade, thinks the cooperation and partnership between China and Africa are very important for them to achieve sustainable development goals.
He said that as well as the China dream, the African Union (AU) also has their African dream which is indicated in the Agenda 2063. The African countries valued the chance to communicate with China because they appreciate China's efficiency in not only making the plan but also the implementation of the plan.
"They are now working together according to the principles, synergies, and strategies. Cooperation is one of the keys of the Belt and Road Initiative to achieve the goals of sustainable development 2030," Wang said.

At the last summit in 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced 60 billion US dollars of assistance and loans for Africa. In Wang's opinion, China will definitely have more investments, at least 10 billion US dollars, to help the development of the African countries. And he emphasized the capacity building is very crucial.
According to Wang, the good relationship between China and Africa has attracted new members to join in the community, like Burkina Faso, Gambia, and Principe. Now there are 53 African countries involved in the China African cooperation forum. It is the most inclusive one than ever.
He said, "We should have more measures to include all these new members." He indicated that mutual connectivity is of vital importance. Not just within African countries, but also with other continents, including the coordination with the 27 international organizations, sub-regional and regional organizations, they all working together can achieve the goals of sustainable development 2030. That could be the common course of all the human beings.
