On July 2, more than 2,000 firefighters worked to prevent the spread of fire in Northern California, which has been threatening homes and other structures across the San Francisco Bay Area. The County Fire, which broke out on June 30 in rural Yolo County, west of Sacramento, has blackened more than 70,000 acres of grass, brush and dense scrub oak.
