Seven shot at house party near Ball State campus in U.S.

At least seven people were shot at a house party near Ball State University on Saturday in the U.S. state of Indiana, said local authorities.

At least three of them sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the Muncie police chief.

All the wounded were taken to hospitals for treatment.

The university said on Twitter that there was no ongoing threat to the campus.

The party attendees were mainly students and locals, the police said.

An investigation into the shooting is underway.
