A sightseeing chopper crash in Handan City in north China's Hebei Province has killed two people aboard, according to local authority.

Respond team discovered bodies of the operator and a passenger after the chopper went down near Guangfu town on Saturday. No other casualties have been reported so far. 

The dead haven't been identified yet by police and a probe into the cause has been ordered.

According to witnesses, the chopper belonged to an amusement park and a female passenger was aboard with an operator.

The incident happened at around 2:39 pm local time, images and video circulated online show black smoke billowing from the crashed chopper.
