A four-legged robot modeled on the centaur has been developed, standing 1.5 meters tall and weighing 93 kilograms. Its humanoid-like upper section is able to manipulate and move objects, while the lower half is capable of robust locomotion.The developers hope its dexterity could one day make it a vital tool for disaster relief tasks. It will soon be tested in real-world scenarios, such as damaged buildings or industrial environments.
