Zhou Xinyue, a young woman from China’s northeastern Liaoning Province, who says she formed a special bond with wolves at an early age, currently works as a wolf keeper in northern Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. /VCG Photo

Zhou started to learn how to raise wolves from her uncle when she was in junior high school. Despite being attacked several times, she didn’t give up and continued to learn how to get along well with these wild creatures. /VCG Photo

Four years of training equipped her with more professional skills and now she is in charge of raising eight wolves with which she has gradually become “friends” with. Zhou says she has spent almost every day around them, playing with and feeding them. /VCG Photo

Her great passion for raising wolves means she has sacrificed part of her personal life as she has failed to sustain romantic relationships because her partners have been too scared to get close to the animals. /VCG Photo
