The clown parade is not the only activity during the three-day carnival leading up to Wednesday. The tradition of the carnival came from Portuguese' former colony country - Brazil,  the samba dance and drum-led music performance will be another part of the carnival week.
Besides the enthusiasm of the clown parade, Sesimbra is one of the finest resort towns in Portugal, which is famous for its freshly cooked seafood and pristine coastline.
Thirty minutes away from Lisbon, Sesimbra is also a fantastic destination for tourists seeking for out-of-the city experience and authentic Portuguese holiday experience.
