Xu Yifan and Yang Zhaoxuan secured an inspirational triumph for China on Saturday in the Asian Games' tennis tournament in Jakarta, winning the country's first doubles crown at the Games in 12 years.
The all-conquering duo beat top-seeded Latisha Chan and Chan Hao-ching of Chinese Taipei 6-2,1-6, 11-9.
Xu and Yang got off to a bright start and built a 5-2 lead. Latisha and Hao-ching fought hard and saved two set points before Xu served out the opener.

But a change in the momentum saw the Chan sisters take control of the match and they leveled it by taking the second set.
After both had chances to win it in the deciding set, it was Xu and Yang who kept their composure, with Latisha sending a forehand wide and the Chinese duo to win the crown.
