Chinese Premier Li Keqiang held talks with Ecuadorean President Lenin Moreno in Beijing on Thursday and asked the leader of the South American nation to create a better business environment for Chinese enterprises to achieve mutual benefits.
Political mutual trust between China and Ecuador has been continuously consolidated and bilateral cooperation has achieved fruitful results, Li said, hailing the push of their relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
The two countries have strong economic complementarities and broad prospects for further cooperation, Li added.
He saw synergies in China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Ecuador's development strategy to promote balanced trade development in accordance with market principles and international rules.
Ecuador is pleased to see the tremendous achievements made in China, Moreno said, reiterating his firm support to the one-China policy and goodwill to better bilateral ties.

China's top legislator Li Zhanshu also met with Moreno on Thursday, stressing hope to maintain close contacts between the National People's Congress (NPC) and the Ecuadorean congress.
Moreno supported exchanges between the two legislative bodies.
