Six Chinese nationals were confirmed dead in Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka, the Chinese Embassy in Colombo said on Tuesday.
Among the deaths, four Chinese are scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences that visited Sri Lanka for research purposes.
The other five people from the Chinese Academy of Sciences were also injured during the explosions, all of whom have already returned to China for further treatment, the Chinese Embassy said.
The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka expresses strong condemnation of the barbaric acts of terrorism.
On April 21, multiple attacks targeting hotels and churches in Sri Lanka killed more than 250 people.
Local officials said Sri Lankan security forces still maintained a high level of alert on Tuesday after the Easter Sunday bombings.
