At the ongoing 25th Beijing International Book Fair, Morocco, this edition's guest of honor, is exhibiting around 800 titles and holding events to showcase the African culture.
Members of the Moroccan delegation include officials from the national library and state tourism office, as well as a cohort of outstanding writers.
Morocco and China have maintained a sound relationship, and strengthening cultural exchanges between the two will help China communicate with the Arab world and Africa, said Moroccan Minister of Culture and Communication Mohamed Laaraj.
To attract avid Chinese readers, cultural exchanges are being held during the five-day book fair which ends on Sunday, including lectures on Morocco-China relations under the Belt and Road Initiative, Moroccan culture, and literature, among others.
The book fair, founded in 1986, has become a key international book fair and copyright trading platform.
More than 2,500 exhibitors from 93 countries and regions are taking part, displaying some 300,000 books. Among them are nearly 30 countries along the Belt and Road.
