China describes human rights in Xinjiang at UN side-event

China has presented its case on human rights in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at a UN side-event. Diplomats from more than 70 countries, officials from international organizations and representatives of non-governmental organizations were present. Our correspondent Xi Jia reports from Geneva, where she also spoke with foreign diplomats who recently visited Xinjiang.
