The Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), which concluded in Beijing on Tuesday, was a great success, said Rwandan President Paul Kagame.
The summit has pushed the relationship between African countries and China to a higher level, Kagame said, expressing his appreciation to Xi's leading role in the process.
Kagame met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.
Xi appreciated Kagame's great contributions, both as the Rwandan president and rotating chairman of the African Union. The Chinese president said the tight schedule of the event shows that a closer China-Africa community with a shared future is on its way towards development.
Kagame expressed his commitment to improving bilateral ties with China as well as Sino-African relations. He noted that China's support will definitely bring a much more rapid growth in development.
