Russia’s defense ministry said on Thursday the country had nothing to do with the MH17 plane crash over Ukraine nearly four years ago.
"Not a single Russian missile complex has ever crossed the Russia-Ukraine border," TASS quoted the ministry as saying.
International investigators probing the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, which was shot down by a missile while flying over Ukraine, said earlier in the day that the missile had been transported from a Russian military brigade.
The airliner, which held 298 passengers and crew, was shot down on July 17, 2014, over the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine. All people on board died.
