A cable-stayed expressway bridge with the fourth largest span in China was joined together on April 2 in Chizhou City, east China's Anhui Province. The Chizhou Yangtze River Bridge is 41 kilometers long, and its main bridge spanning over the Yangtze River, China's longest river, is six kilometers. The bridge towers are 243 meters high. The bridge will be open to traffic at the end of June. Engineers said they applied a series of innovative techniques to anchor the bridge.
