The NBA is planning to hold a Summer League in Sacramento at the end of the season and invite the Sacramento Kings, the Golden State Warriors, The Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat tor the event, ClutchPoints reported on May 6.
The league has been focusing on how to make the Summer League more attractive to fans that, according to surveys, pay more attention to how the events are operated.
"League sources: In addition to tournaments in Las Vegas and Utah, the NBA plans to introduce a 2018 Sacramento Summer League. The event is tentatively scheduled to include the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat," said the Athletic's Ben Dowsett on his Twitter account.

The Summer League said goodbye to Orlando after the last event there in 2017 as Las Vegas and Utah carried on. The former regularly started from July 6 and ended on July 17 every year since the first event in 2004. Utah joined in 2015 and usually began before Las Vegas.
NBA hopes that all 30 teams can send their players to the Las Vegas Summer League. In 2017, 24 teams attended the event to play three games before the knockout tournament, making five games for each team at least.
The NBA Summer League has been a good opportunity for rookies who have not played in the league to learn more about and wear in with their future teammates. It is also a good chance for players without a contract to show to the managers that they can contribute with their performances.
