The 19th Meet in Beijing Arts Festival has concluded with nearly 50 performances from dozens of countries and regions. The annual 10-day event saw a variety of shows, exhibitions, concerts and other art forms. One of the most popular was a French physical theater show called "Plan B" which impressed audiences with its simple but artful plot.
What if Plan A fails? Turn to "Plan B" of course. With this concept, performers grapple with the unpredictable in front of an audience. The plot might be confusing sometimes, but the audience never gets bored.

"I got the impression the show was quite experimental," said one visitor, "Frankly, I didn't understand it at first, but later I saw cooperation, dynamics, acrobatics and creativity. It's my first time seeing a physical theater. Very interesting."
Fighting gravity, the performers always have to try their best to maintain their balance. It indicates how people always have to adapt to new and unpredictable situations. Without a single word on stage, the one-hour show still managed to draw the audience into laughter every so often.

Director assistant Hugues Cohen said, "I'm not sure that there is only one way of understanding this show. We wanted to keep the audience's imagination during the show. Everybody has his own way of understanding the show, which is very important."
Created in 2003, the French physical theater show assembles circus, dance and visual arts.
