Brooklynite Joseph Herscher has created an elaborate hair cutting contraption that uses rotating blades and clippers strapped to a cartwheel-like structure. The self-confessed "inventor of useless machines" spent three weeks building the "terrifying" invention in his New York apartment. Using a series of weights, counter-weights and cords to set objects in motion, the machine appears to lop off the inventor's mop in a hair-raising video.
