Festive fun at Shanghai Happy Valley

Shanghai Happy Valley in the east China metropolitan district of Songjiang is hosting a variety of performances and activities throughout the upcoming Spring Festival holiday, its operator said on Thursday.
Acrobatic performers from Russia, Latvia and Ukraine will show off their skills at the amusement park, and stilt shows and parades will also be part of the celebrations.

Also on the program is a folk drum performance, an intangible cultural heritage, and street comic shows by overseas artists.
The amusement park has been illuminated by tens of thousands of lights and lanterns as a magic light festival is underway until February 24.
The festival is comprised of six exhibition areas, featuring scenes of Chinatown, an ocean world, starry sky and the immortals of fu, lu, shou in Chinese, literally meaning good fortune, happiness and longevity.
