China's railway transportation getting ready for May Day Holiday

Some 68.2 million railway passenger trips will be made from April 30 to May 4 during China's May Day Holiday, according to estimations, a growth of 10.9 percent compared to last year.
During the 2018 May Day Holiday, Chinese tourists made 147 million domestic trips, up 9.3 percent year-on-year. In 2019, the holiday will be extended to four days.
The China Railway Corporation has arranged to add 539 bullet trains and 156.5 regular trains during the holiday to facilitate long-distance transportation and provide convenience for travelers.
34 direct lines, or "travel lines," have been opened for popular tourism destinations including Zhangjiajie, Mount Wuyishan, and Dunhuang City.
