The Danxia landform refers to unique types of rock formations found in southeast, southwest and northwest China that “consist of a red bed characterized by steep cliffs.” Jingbian Wave Valley is one of the examples. Located in the southeast of Jingbian County, China's Gansu Province in the northwest, the place is characterized by its red sandstone landform covered by ridges that look like waves.
