2018 FINA Short Course World Championships conclude in Hangzhou

The FINA Short Course World Championships came to an end on Sunday in Hangzhou with a closing ceremony during which the organizers handed the FINA flag to the next host city Abu Dhabi, who will stage the event in 2020.
After the closing ceremony, the fifth edition of the FINA World Aquatics Gala was hosted in Hangzhou for the second time, where swimming legends Chad Le Clos of South Africa and Katinka Hosszu of Hungary received the Best Male and Female Swimmer awards respectively.

China's Xu Jiayu received a special recognition – "the Best Breakthrough Athlete of China." And the newly added male and female Masters' Athletes awards went to China's Zhang Jian and Wang Yan.
