As the world rings in 2019, it is time to pick new outfits for a new year of dating, parties and celebrations.
For the Chinese people, the Spring Festival is only a month away and the festive atmosphere has already become pervasive. To contrast with the dark, early nights and reflect the joy of the season, bright colors are always more preferable during this time of year.
Many Chinese film stars, while appearing in public around the New Year, have been seen wearing pink. A number of celebrities including singer Wang Ju, who was shot to fame from the 2018 hit talent show “Produce 101”, actress Li Qin and Chang Chun-ning have all put on either pink coats or sports jackets, cardigans or one-piece dresses.

Golden Horse winning actresses Zhou Dongyu and Ma Sichun have also shown up in pink dresses to commercial activities and private events.
Meanwhile, Victoria's Secret angels, such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Karlie Kloss and Jasmine Tookes have all been spotted wearing pink, especially with accessories such as purses.

During New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 in September last year, the Pantone Color Institute issued a “Color Trend Report” for the upcoming season, which featured a pink tone stylishly named “Sweet Lilac”.
In Chinese culture, as the upcoming lunar New Year is the Year of the Pig, it is expected that pink will become the trend for the next spring. Especially because Peppa Pig, the main character of the hit British animation, has already become an online phenomenon with her hair-dryer-looking face and the cute pink color.
It's still not too late to pick your pink fashion items before the Spring Festival!
