April 24 is China’s Space Day. China’s space program was set up in the 1950s. On April 24, 1970, China successfully launched its first satellite, Dongfanghong I. China plans to launch the Chang'e-5 lunar probe in 2019, which is expected to bring lunar samples back to Earth.
