Firefighters battling the forest fire in southwest China’s Sichuan Province have returned to their base in the city of Xichang with harrowing recounts of the deadly mission. Zhao Maoyi only narrowly escaped death. He said his young teammates who lost their lives in the fire have been appearing in his dreams in the past few nights. Thirty people were killed in the fire – 27 firefighters, two local forestry officials and one local volunteer.
