Thousands of sheep invade Bordeaux over the weekend

An urban transhumance was celebrating its 10th anniversary on the last weekend in Bordeaux, southwestern France. Organized by communes in Bordeaux, Blanquefort as well as Begles, a thousand sheep from seven farms traveled over 30 kilometers across the Bordeaux metropolis from north to south. /VCG Photo

The event kicked off on Friday with a launch party at La Vacherie, a commune in northern France. Shortly after 8 am the next morning, the flock left Blanquefort and headed to Bordeaux. /VCG Photo
