Visiting Beijing Guoan bagged a 3-0 win over Guangzhou R&F in the second leg of the 2018 Chinese Football Association (CFA) Cup semi-finals at Yuexiushan Stadium, south China's Guangzhou City, on Wednesday evening, and the Chinese capital's mighty club will confront
Shandong Luneng in the final.
With the 5-1 win already in the pocket for the first leg of semi-finals, Guoan played comfortably during another wonderful game. During the 17th minute, Guoan quickly reacted to the R&F's denied corner as Jonathan Viera sent the ball beyond the opponents' defense line to Cedric Bakambu and Zhang Xizhe, and the latter gave the chance to the former to score an open goal. Wei Shihao, who substituted for Viera at the 64th minute, made a brace for Guoan in three minutes at the end of the game (85', 88').

Guoan's 8-1 aggregate win over the demoralized R&F doesn't mean they will easily grab the champion's title in the finals, as their rivals Luneng have a 3-0 win and a 1-1 draw with them in the Chinese Super League for this season.
The two team's last meeting in the CFA Cup final was in 1996, where Beijing Guoan beat Luneng's predecessor Jinan Taishan General 4-1 in just one round at home.

Historically, Beijing has won the CFA Cup three times and Shandong has won five times. The last time Beijing's side qualified for the final was back in 2003, where they beat Dalian 3-0 in one round to take the throne. And Luneng's last Cup champion title was gained in 2014, where they defeated Jiangsu's side 5-4 on aggregate for two legs.
For this edition of the CFA Cup, Guoan and Luneng will meet each other in November 24 or 25 for the first leg in Beijing and December 1 or 2 for the second leg in Jinan, eastern Shandong Province.
