Seminar held on 'Xi Jinping’s Classical Literary Quotes'

A Russian radio station held a seminar on "Xi Jinping’s Classical Literary Quotes" in St. Petersburg on June 6, local time.

Shen Haixiong, President of China Media Group (CMG), Sergey Yurievich Glazyev, economist and advisor to the president of the Russian Federation on regional economic integration, Vasily Pushkov, head of international projects of Sputnik news agency and radio, and more than 100 government, business, media and people from all walks of life from Moscow and St. Petersburg attended the event held by Radio Metro.

The joint statements on elevating bilateral ties to the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era, and on strengthening contemporary global strategic stability, which was signed by presidents Xi and Putin, marked a new chapter in the upgrading of bilateral relations, Shen said in response to a question from an audience in St. Petersburg.

Shen also noted that in today's complex and severe international environment, standing at a new starting point in the history of bilateral relations, the media of the two countries should assume greater responsibilities to promote social, economic and cultural development.

After the Russian version of "Xi Jinping's Classical Literary Quotes" was broadcast in Russia, it received a good response from the audience, which fully shows the huge potential of media cooperation between the two sides. The program conveys President Xi Jinping's concept of governance, which is helpful for foreign audiences to understand contemporary China.

Glazyev pointed out that President Xi has drawn wisdom from traditional Chinese culture and applied it to the governance of the country. These valuable experiences have also inspired Russia's economic and social development.

He also said that in the course of exchanges between Russia and China, there are extensive mutual understanding and no differences. Justice and fairness are the essences of the two cultures. Therefore, the cultural exchange programs represented by Russian version of "Xi Jinping's Classical Literary Quotes" have a strong appeal to the people of both countries.

The Russian version of "Xi Jinping's Classical Literary Quotes" is a multimedia program produced by CMG. In addition to the continuous broadcasting in the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, the first round of 20 audio programs has completed broadcasting on Radio Metro of St. Petersburg.

Through the reproduction of the original sound, the analysis of famous sentences, extended stories and other content, it reflects the essence of President Xi's governance to the Russian audience from one side and demonstrates the extensive and profound Chinese traditional culture.

On the same day, Shen Haixiong, President of China Media Group, presented a letter of appointment from the expert committee of the China - Russia mobile media platform to the Sergey Yurievich Glazyev, advisor to the president of the Russian Federation on regional economic integration.
