An Egyptian lawyer has filed a 1.2-billion-US-dollar lawsuit against Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos who brought down Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah in the first half game during Saturday's Champions League final.
This has led Salah to suffer a shoulder injury and had to leave the pitch in the 31st minute after the tough challenge.
The lawyer, who reportedly goes by the name of Bassem Wahba, has already filed the complaint to FIFA, according to GOAL.
He also accused the Spaniard of a deliberate act and inflicting "physical and psychological harm" upon a nation, and the 25-year-old Salah himself.
There is also a petition online to punish the defender for “intentionally hurting Mohamed Salah” and it's already got over 400,000 signatures.
Meanwhile, Ramos himself tweeted his best wishes to the Egyptian striker: "Sometimes football shows you its good side and other times the bad. Above all, we are fellow pros. #GetWellSoon".
Earlier Salah has relieved his worried fans with a post on Twitter, saying he is confident that he will be in Russia for the World Cup next month.
Iconic Salah, the 2018 best African footballer, is seen by all Egyptians as a national hero who finally secured his country a seat in the world's top soccer competition after 28 years of absence.
