Chinese State Councilor Wang Yi congratulates DPRK on its 70th anniversary

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi sent a congratulatory letter to Ri Yong Ho, Foreign Minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), as the country celebrates the 70th anniversary of its founding on Sunday.

Wang extended warm congratulations and sincere wishes to Ri in the letter.

The Chinese State Councilor said the DPRK and its people have made fruitful achievements over the past 70 years in socialist revolution and construction.

The China-DPRK friendship has grown from strength to strength under the efforts of successive leaders of the two countries, he noted.

Wang also mentioned the three meetings between the Chinese and DPRK top leaders this year, saying they have turned a new page in ties between the two countries.

Wang expressed China's willingness to work together with the DPRK to implement the important consensus reached between the two state leaders, enhance exchanges and cooperation between diplomatic departments, and continuously move forward the development of the traditional friendship between China and the DPRK.
