Typhoon Rumbia has caused the most severe flooding in east China’s Shandong Province since 1974. Authorities in Weifang City said on Thursday that 13 people have died from the floods, with three still missing. Almost 10,000 houses have collapsed. Some villages have been submerged by water with homes destroyed and livestock washed away. Now the region is recovering and the local government has begun significant reconstruction work.
