Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang said the relationship between China and Europe has kept the momentum of development at a high level in the past few years.
He made the remarks on Tuesday when introducing Vice Premier Liu He's visit to Germany from November 25 to 28 during a regular press briefing.
Liu is expected to meet German leaders, exchange with them views on Sino-German pragmatic cooperation, China-Europe ties and global and regional affairs of common concern, according to Geng.
Geng said the Chinese vice premier is also going to attend this year's "Hamburg Summit: China Meets Europe" and give a keynote speech.
On China-Europe ties, the Chinese spokesperson noted that in recent years, top-level exchanges between the two sides are frequent. Political trust has been consistently enhanced, and pragmatic cooperation has generated noticeable results, Geng added.
On Sino-German partnership, Geng stressed that this year premiers of both countries have exchanged visits, and fruitful achievements have been gained from the fifth round of intergovernmental consultations.
They fully demonstrate the closeness and level of development between the two sides, Geng said.
