Xi's special envoy arrives in Washington for trade talks

Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy and Vice Premier Liu He arrived in Washington, DC, for trade negotiations on Tuesday afternoon.
The Chinese trade delegation to Washington, led by Liu, consists of members from the country’s major economic departments, including Yi Gang, governor of the People's Bank of China, and Ning Jizhe, deputy head of China’s National Development and Reform Commission. 
Liu will continue to hold consultations with the US economic team headed by the US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on economic and trade issues between the two countries.
