Eight people were killed and one injured when a vehicle veered off a 100-meter high cliff in Huize County, southwest China's Yunnan Province.
The incident was reported at 2:45 p.m. local time (0645GMT) on Tuesday.
Two died from the impact and six others died from their injuries.
Local authorities have launched rescue work and an emergency mechanism to prevent other cars falling from the cliff. An investigation is underway.
