Ahead of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), being held in September 2018, CGTN produced a six-episode special series entitled "Hi China!" The program invited four guests from Africa to China to take an in-depth look at the vast country. They were divided into two teams and checked out six destinations, where they experienced first-hand some of the country's traditions, vitality and innovation.

In the second episode, Hussein Makki and Asi Nkatha got to try acupuncture and mysterious moxibustion for the first time. Meanwhile, Sibu Mpanza and Tariro Nhandara, dropped by the Zhuzhou CRRC locomotive company where they toured the assembly workshop and even hopped on board a maglev train trial ride.
