Premier Li Keqiang sets off for Bulgaria, Germany

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang left Beijing on Thursday for official visits to Bulgaria and Germany.
Li is scheduled to pay official visits to the two countries from July 5 to 10, attending the seventh Summit of Heads of Government of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) in Sofia, and chairing the fifth round of intergovernmental consultations between China and Germany in Berlin.

Li was invited by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
During his visit to Bulgaria, the two sides will exchange views on bilateral cooperation in various fields, while several cooperative documents will also be signed, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao said at a press briefing on June 29 before Li's departure.
On cooperation between China and CEE countries, Wang said that Li's visit will deepen understanding and trust, safeguard multilateralism and facilitation in trade and investment, and discuss the direction and future work for 16+1 cooperation.

In Germany, Li will meet German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and hold talks with German Chancellor Merkel. 
The leaders of the two countries will exchange views on promoting pragmatic and innovative cooperation, giving play to the positive and leading role of China-Germany cooperation in China-Europe relations, Wang added.
