July 14 this year marks the third anniversary of the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), better known as the Iran nuclear deal. The deal that was supposed to last for over a decade has run into serious obstacles after one of the signatories, the United States, pulled out of it in May, reinstating sanctions on Tehran, and triggering wide-ranging doubts about the agreement's precarious fate.
