Paul Pogba has informed Manchester United he wants to leave so he can return to Juventus to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a brilliant summer under the guidance of Didier Deschamps, where he played a pivotal role in France winning the World Cup in Russia this month.

Marca wrote that Pogba feels leaving Old Trafford is “the best thing for his future” and his representative Raiola told senior figures at the club that his client wants to leave after just two seasons.
Pogba has struggled to convince at Manchester United since rejoining the club from Juventus for 89 million pound in 2016. It is claimed that he wants to return to a style of football which suits his game more and escape Jose Mourinho’s tactics which he feels restricts his game.

The French midfielder has been linked with a return to Turin for some time now, and in April, Italian media Tuttosport suggested there had already been contact with the club.
However, a deal would be complicated by the high transfer fee United spent to bring Pogba back to England and Juventus will have to offload some of their star players to fund a deal for the midfielder.

Marca does say that United are determined to hold onto their record signing and they have no intention of letting Pogba leave.
The Premier League's summer transfer window closes on August 9.
