Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived on Thursday in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for a state visit and to attend the 26th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in the capital Port Moresby over the weekend. It is the first visit to PNG by a Chinese president. After the APEC meeting, President Xi is scheduled to visit Brunei and the Philippines.
