CGTN's Wu Shuoyu sat down with Ecuador's ambassador to China, Carlos Larrea Davila, for an exclusive interview on the Belt and Road Forum. The ambassador said the growth of the middle class in China as an opportunity for Latin America to be a provider of resources and cooperation in many important and strategic aspects. 

The ambassador also mentioned that Ecuador received the approval to start the internal procedures to become one of the countries that from the Pacific Alliance, an initiative with a commercial character that will facilitate the creation of joint initiatives, allowing a better relationship with the countries of the Alliance, especially China, something that will help Ecuador define their role in the bilateral field.
