Chinese Vice Premier Hu Chunhua conveyed to Burkina Faso's President Roch Marc Christian Kabore the greetings and good wishes of Chinese President Xi Jinping, applauding Ouagadougou's decision to re-establish diplomatic ties with China.
Hu made the remarks during a meeting with Kabore in Ouagadougou on Thursday. He also delivered Xi's invitation to Kabore to participate in the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation scheduled for September in Beijing.
Hu said Xi pays high attention to the development of relations between China and Burkina Faso. This visit aims to deepen understandings and friendship, and lay a solid foundation for the comprehensive promotion of the friendly relations and cooperation in all areas, Hu noted.
The Chinese official said China is willing to work with Burkina Faso to deepen political mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation, and boost the stable, healthy development of relationship between the two countries.

Kabore asked Hu to relay his greetings and good wishes to Xi, and said the re-establishment of the diplomatic relationship with China has opened new prospects for the two countries.
Hu also met with Prime Minister of Burkina Faso Paul Kaba Thieba on Thursday, and exchanged views on strengthening ties.
After the meeting, Hu and Thieba attended the opening ceremony of the Chinese embassy and a signing ceremony of documents on cooperation.
