The yearly travel rush, Chun Yun, is the world's biggest annual human migration which places a severe test on China's transport system, one of the fastest in the world. People head back to their hometowns and villages by train, plane, bus, car and motorbike. The week-long national holiday is one of the few times, and possibly the only one, many in China are able to return home for family reunions.
CGTN correspondents will travel alongside some of those making the journey home. We will present timely and visually friendly information to explain the phenomenon. We will also tell stories of family reunions, as well as the changing aspects of Chinese society in a time of transformation.
