China and Russia are the two biggest neighboring countries which could provide each other with significant opportunities, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said on Wednesday in Beijing.
He made the remarks when co-chairing the 23rd China-Russia Prime Ministers' Regular Meeting with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
During the meeting, Li said China is willing to enhance political and strategic trust with Russia and expand comprehensive cooperation.
The Chinese premier said there is huge potential for both countries to cooperate, adding that both sides should keep improving trade facilitation and expand bilateral investment. He also stressed the importance of further cooperation in fields like agriculture, cross-border E-commerce and innovation.
Li also noted that China is ready for better coordination between the Belt and Road Initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Medvedev praised the ever-strengthening of the Russia-China comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination. He echoed Li by pledging to aim for more pragmatic cooperation in different fields.
