As another iconic building at the ongoing Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition, the International Pavilion stands together with the China Pavilion and the Performance Center along the Guishui Lake. /CGTN Photo
The two-level pavilion is divided into two exhibition areas connected by a sky bridge, while its 94 steel-structure flower umbrellas cover the exhibition area and provide shade for visitors. /CGTN Photo
All lit up at night, the umbrellas form a stunning scene of a sea of flowers. /VCG Photo
The pavilion also features environmental-friendly designs using smart technology. For example, the flower umbrellas carry snow-melting cables on the top of each petal as well as rain pipes within the column of each flower so that rainwater and snow could be stored and recycled for future use. /Xinhua Photo
On top of the petals are photovoltaic films to store solar energy for night operations. /Xinhua Photo
The International Pavilion serves as an indoor exhibition venue for participating countries, regions and horticultural organizations. /Xinhua Photo
