Local maritime officers rescued three people from rough seas after strong waves sank a fishing boat in waters off Lianyungang City, east China's Jiangsu Province, Thursday. High winds reportedly whipped up waves as high as five meters, causing a fishing boat to sink earlier in the day. Search and rescue operations are currently underway.
